Two Lessons in one Position

I remember "new ideas in backgammon". Assets and liabilities. Must be the key to this position. Is an orphan way back from orphanage an asset? Can we create efficient any new asset with the body of our troops? And an asset could also be: not to create new liabilities. A lesson could also be to find the right questions before the answers. A surgeon on ICU, like a backgammonplayer in a muddy position, will at first ask: What have i done? Here: Leaving an orphane alone. A made acepiont. No way to make the doors of the house in order anymore. Any closed door could be sufficient. Can an orphan anchor? Can a reciever complete the pass, stay put? Will a blot in the house be an asset in an upcoming shootout?
Nuff questions to get the right medicin for treating this position, i think.
