We can't lose a gammon and I count 18 winners if we move the back checker. If we stay back, 14 rolls hit and {44,55} get past -- only 16 winners, although his four 9's are near winners. (Note in both cases we can still get a few wins if we hit. There are more of those chances if we stay.)

The roll still doesn't play with beauty if we stay back. We're not giving up the midpoint so that means either make the 1-point, slot a new homeboard point, or shift homeboard points -- none is appetizing.

If we play 18/14, all of Dillie's non-escaping rolls (18 of them) are double shots for us. If we stay, {33,43,53,64,14,15} leave single+ shots. Looks like we hit more shots if we move up.

18/14, 13/5, 8/4
