In Response To: XG's Post-Crawford Take Point oddity - fixed but help needed (eXtreme Gammon)

I suggest using one of the old match equity generating programs.

For example mec (http://www.bkgm.com/rgb/rgb.cgi?view+114) was used to generate the once very highly regarded mec26 table (26% = gammon rate). Mec26 was used to form the longer match length equities in the old GNU Match Equity table to my recollection. Although 26% is a tad low for a gammon rate, it gives the best overall balance I believe, because of other simplified assumptions in the program having a balancing effect. If XG switches to mec26 for scores beyond 25 points, in subsequent calculations involving equities within the 25 x 25 matrix it is preferable to make consistent use of the computer generated values rather than mixing with the original 25 x 25 values.
