I thought this would be borderline P/T if the Dillies back checkers were split on their 24- and 23-points.

Chuck's remarks mirror my opinion. Strong three-point board + split rear checkers against nothing much is often a pass. Don't get me wrong. Like Casper, Gary, Chuck, and the rest of the Primes, I think the position we face is a clear take.
