If we play 14/8, how many rolls work for us in that checker assisting us in a closeout. It only directly helps if we roll a 7, and two of those sevens, 43, would be played within our board to secure the closeout. A roll of 52 leaves me wondering if should hit on our 1 pt, or put their blot on the 21 pt on the bar. So, possibly 14/8 doesn't give full value. I'll go with the 'insurance play' here, because there is a good chance this blitz will fizzle out.
