Ready to blunder?

The obvious 4 is 21/17*, after which I would play 21/16 for the 5 to duplicate White's entering 4's. The downside of this play is that it gives up our advanced anchor, which is arguably our best asset. Hitting doesn't gain that much because of White's double anchor.
What alternatives are there? Dumping 6/2 looks bad because we need to maintain flexibility.
The double slot 13/9 13/8 looks like a reasonable candidate because it keeps all our assets and maintains flexibility. But leaving all those shots and two blots may be too loose despite our double anchor.
23/18 13/9 doesn't look better to me than 13/9 13/8, so the main remaining play to consider is 23/14. At first this might look like leaving just a single direct shot, but I think White will hit with a 6 as well as with 9's and 10's.
I keep coming back to 13/9 13/8. Yes it leaves a ton of shots, but as long as we have our double anchor, getting hit isn't too bad. White has to give up an anchor to hit and we may get a return shot. If we're missed then we've gained a better distribution of checkers.
