Not to belittle this position, but aren't there $-play positions where the cubeless play is considerably superior (relative to 0.001) but still incorrect because of cube equity? The position that is cloudy in my memory leaves 2 checkers, neither on the acepoint when one on the acepoint leads to more cubeless wins, but clear passes instead of close takes.

Anyone?

I know the value of pre-bot positions is net negative. Stick has driven this point home multiple times. But the ancient positions that still hold water are ones where the solution could be determined in a couple shakes of the dice. The position(s) I refer to fit that characteristic.

Anyone?
