The article was from Games magazine, written by Prince Joli Konsil (another one of those backgammon players with a title from royalty) -- "the best player in Hawaii."

As was the style then, after 21/18* he recommended the Kamikazee 8/5 7/4, finishing with 12/9. As the rollouts show, this isn't bad at DMP but way too gammon expensive at $-play.
