Bearoff v. 24pt Anchor

In Response To: Bearoff v. 24pt Anchor (Stick)

I'm bearing off two and playing for the gammon. It's probably correct to slot the 2 based on the fact that I would take two off.

The 4 stacked on the 4 makes for such a pretty play with the 2 off that the 2 extra shots seem worth the risk.

Doubles play better afterwards but I'm not really sure what is the "right" play here.

Building and making the two is a nice play and exactly what the book would have said 10 years ago.
