I'm thinking that perhaps I am standing on hallowed ground about to tangle with BG gods. Viewers in three figures posters just two!! There are unwritten posts here and I'm thinking it's the lesser mortals who are viewing. Mr Koca's smart reply "if not now then when "is obviously for consumption by viewers of similar stature and certainly no help to me and my fellow mortals.

I will be the David here and hope to strike a blow. Playing online has certain constraints for me the main one being one has to play quickly else one could be accused of cheating and I'm slow and doddery. I can take my time in problems solving mode so I feel up to tell Mr Stick why. At the table I'm pretty sure I would play 5/1 5/2. A sip of coffee, I notice the pip count about even, blues runner behind a fractured prime, the cube on four that's scary. Being a roll odds man I note that blues plot on the 24 point can be pointed on with nine rolls furthermore he would be more than happy to hit loose and has plenty of roles to do just that.

By making the safe play it's giving white a free roll to create havoc and an additional entry point should he suffer a setback. Playing from the 16 point is an option you can't refuse. If you do you still have the same problem on the next roll that's if you're not sitting on the bar. The four roll is duplicated and you have one less man to get home and avoid the gammon. Of course accomplished players recognise such positions and make the correct move without any deep thought.

I have a rant on another post but I'm off to grandchilds birthday party. Hopefully the post will not have gone out of sight.
