Doubling never entered my mind here

This is an excellent illustration about the principles of cubing at 2away/2away. I don't think a lot of people as Blue would think about doubling here. You won't often be in a position just like this, but you will be in many situations at this score where you should double and it doesn't look that promising for you. The key is not just that you could lose your market, it is if you are also likely to have a take next roll if you don't roll a good number.
