As Tim pointed out and I assume too: there is surely a reason why XG is so fast. I assume that Xavier has done some tricks to achieve that speed and it might be a lot of work to change that (other than to 64).

The 2nd reason: how large do you make the window and when. I recently had a similar position where to me the move was obvious but not for the current net (2.ply and the older agreed net with me...). Not only it didn't make the top 35 moves but the difference was larger than the max difference.

I don't have an idea yet to solve that problem.
