When to claim a free point?

Suppose that you are playing a 9 point match with an extra provision that once during the match you can claim a win before the first roll of a game. The opponent is aware of that provision. Compared to an optimal strategy how much win chance is sacrificed by just using it in the very first game when there is less MWC to be gained?
