I 've seen these quizes in the last 2 years and took them very light hearted thinking they were easy. Last year I tried the first 5 and after scoring only 1 point (or was it a big zero don't remember exactly) I got pissed off and gave up.
this year I decided to spend about 10 minutes on each to be sure I understood the position. So far I did the first 5 and I really got very tired
1.Prepare for an attacking game. Bring one more in the zone. 8/3 13/11
2.b/22 13/4 because of the duplication of aces, and for more space coverage
3.He is clearly playing for the gammon.He doesn't want white to anchor.b/24 4/2. 3s and 4s make the point 2s and 6s hit another.
4.Hit 2 checkers?? Not an ideal position for such a thing. hit 24/21? The race deficit is such that just covers him to revert to a backgame. He destroys that option by hitting. So don't hit at all. b/22 22/21. If she hits at 10 then good position and timing for a backgame.
5. If he stays at 22 behind a 5pt albeit broken prime then his chances fall immediately to about 30-70. Same if he runs 22/13 leaving the blot at 11.Only one move left: 22/16 11/8 Keeps pressure on the blot at 9.Some of her rolls that would otherwise play OK like 16,13,51,41 play bad. There's a plethora of rolls that hit from the bar if he gets hit.
