It may depend on exactly how one is defining the doubling window but I think the position can matter due to bonus wins. For example suppose you are losing 2a 4a with a centered cube and a lot of your losses will be gammons. Those losses lose the match whether the cube is on 1 or 2 so you can have a correct cube with much lower win chance. The number reported by XG as the doubling point does take that into account. The cash point is similarly affected though it can be phrased instead as something like win % plus gammon price times gammon wins must reach the ignoring gammons calculated cash point.
