Combining cube power and gammon power

Suppose you make the attacking play in money game. The gammons give you additional cube power and you might get cash with chances only in the mid to high 60s. At 2a 3a they don't help cube power at all. Taking a path hopefully leading to undoubled gammons is typically not worth it when there is an alternate play which just wins more and also cuts opponent gammons.
