11away - 4 away limit. Abnormal cube strategy tips?

I'm in a similar situation although I need to win both 11 pointers with a goal difference of + 12 in total to win the group. If I lose both I still come second.

I asked a much better player than me and got this advice:

1) Cube almost immediately

2) Make sure you get a bit behind so he recubes.

3) Take.

4) Reship to 8 and let the dice Gods decide

I'd love to hear other opinions on this strategy.
