You roll a 4-1 in this position:
White is Player 2
score: 2
pip: 1307 point match pip: 159
score: 3
Blue is Player 1XGID=---b-BC-C-A-bC-cA--bbBb-b-:1:1:1:41:3:2:0:7:10 Blue to play 41
eXtreme Gammon Version: 2.10
You are initially annoyed that you can't do anything with the blot on the 16 point, but are happy to make the blocking 9 point. In fact, it is a great roll.
Your opponent rolls 3-2 and plays 10-5. You roll another 4-1, again annoyed by the frozen blot:
White is Player 2
score: 2
pip: 1257 point match pip: 154
score: 3
Blue is Player 1XGID=---b-BC-CB--bB-bA--bcBb-b-:1:1:1:41:3:2:0:7:10 Blue to play 41
eXtreme Gammon Version: 2.10
This roll is not so good. What do you play and why?
