8/3 6/2* because we can't run all the way and with all the wood waiting to attack us, we need to attack first. It is a tactical position with 13 vs 14 checkers in the attack zone and vulnerable blots, combined with a mutual priming threat if left alone. Therefore, get the hit in first. So 6/2* and then 8/3 keeps the points we have, keeps the checkers in play, and prepares to make better points.
