I lead in the race by 16 pips after the roll and want to disengage and head for safety while avoiding being hit on good points.

20/14 looks clear to me, noting that if that blot is missed I can likely safe it next roll and if I am hit loose inside, I can safety with a 6. The concept of linking the last two checkers here with bar/16 is wrong and results in more likelyhood of getting pounded and we don't really gain that much to make the 16 pt anyhow here again noting our race lead.
