When you use any level beyond 3-ply (XGR and XGR+ included), if, after the 3-ply pass a move is clearly better than all the other, the analyze does not go any further.

Clearly better means:

  • better than 0.040 than the 2nd best move if using Normal Search interval
  • better than 0.060 than the 2nd best move if using Large Search interval
  • better than 0.080 than the 2nd best move if using Huge Search interval
