Note that this doesn't mean that XG is 6 times faster. What matters is actual tests of the same position evaluated and/or rolled out.

A friend of mine with an overclocked i7 chip, very similar to what I have on the way, sent me a speed test result last night showing that XG 3 ply rolled out an opening position 3.65 times faster than GNU 2 ply. (GNU set to use all 8 cores, of course)
