3-2 rev split - 3-2 vs 5-2 split -3-2

According to Sticks roll out you should double hit with a 3-2 in response to an opening 3-2 played 24-22, 13-10. However, if your opponent opens with a 5-2 split you should only hit once, playing 6-3 hit, 13-11. Can anyone explain this difference in strategy? Why don't you double hit here? or just hit once in the first case - since you duplicate your opponents good 3īs?
