NY ABT Prize concerns

I don't think anyone is suggesting that people that don't 'advance' to the next flight might win no prize in the previous flight. Regardless of the number of paid places, everyone that didn't cash in the 1st flight advances to the consol, and the same from consol to last chance. I've never seen a multi-flight tournament that didn't do this.

The only question is how many cash in the main, Consol and LC. Everyone that doesn't cash keeps playing in the next flight.

10 is too many to pay in a field of 64; it dilutes each place too much for money and ABT points. The next person that wins a 64-draw (that pays a 'normal' 7 places) will get a lot more ABT points. I had a similar 'problem' when I won the FLA tournament (field=37) and got 4.3 less ABT points that Richard M. who won Thousand Islands (field-33)
