I'd guess that yes, the seeds were different each time Matt's XGR+ tackled the play. And also guess that the 95% confidence intervals for Matt's XGR+ evaluations/rollouts were about +-0.008, so the minor differences in his results were not unexpected.

Somewhat interestingly, in the Beware of Gnubg Truncation Department, I can cajole Gnubg into getting results close to Matt's by making it do a 360-trial 1-ply rollout truncated at depth 6. But a truncated rollout using stepped 2-ply/0-ply gets equities in the 0.600's, not 0.400's.
