Boards and Money needed for Students

I get turned off by the modern entitlement attitude where people expect/demand others to provide them anything/everything that they need/want. If people want to play the game they'll get a cheap set or improvise. If they come to love the game they'll upgrade. Some people show up at ABT tourneys with small, inexpensive boards -- doesn't keep them from playing.

I remember playing baseball as a kid with broken bats nailed back together and taped up; and with baseballs until the leather covers came off, when we then wrapped them with black electrical tape and kept on playing. A pitcher can put some mad spin on a electrical tape covered ball. We often wore out the black covers too -- a new ball was an extreme rarity.

(The neighborhood parents, despite us all being dirt poor, provided our school lunches too -- imagine the horror !!)
