I am pretty sure I would not hit OTB because of the many shots and blots. But there are good arguments for hitting: apart from the QF, you will draw a very inefficient cube with the hit, instead of allowing your opponent to walk in on an efficient cube after the safe play; you immediately win on the dances, and on the return hits you are not dead because of the good block, ability to re-anchor, and cube ownership.
