I just did a quick look at ESPN and didn't find it. The comments occurred shortly after Clarke finished on 18. They had about 5 minutes of dead time waiting for the awards ceremony. The MC (again, I forget his name -- wasn't Tirico) was seated with Tom Watson and Curtis Strange. He intro'ed with something like "here are two guys who know the feeling that comes right after putting out to win a major championship..." and then asked for their opinions. Watson spoke up first and (in his typical straightforward way) said (paraphrased) "Darren Clarke hit the best shots and simply outplayed everyone this week." Possibly miffed that he didn't get to speak first, Strange then went into how Michelson and Johnson failed to keep the pressure on, making it easy for Clarke to win. After that negative comment he went on to say that Clarke played well and deserved to win.

Maybe he thinks by dumping on others that he can erase memories of his own back nine collapse at the 1985 Masters, summarized on Wikipedia:

Despite an opening round 80, Curtis Strange enjoyed a 3-stroke lead with 6 holes to play. But he bogeyed 13, 15 (both birdie-able par 5's) and 18 to finish tied for 2nd. (phrase in parentheses mine)
