"Maximum cube value" in XG2

Yes you are correct (at least for the backgammon sites I use). In the example, if I want to start a money game at $10 / $40 then I must have $40 in my account (and so also must my opponent). This is a new test for each money game.
It seems that for now the best practice is to set "maximum cube value" at 4 (in the above example). But I think XG2 will sometimes give me a black mark for playing on for the gammon with the cube on 2 when that is correct with table stake but wrong with unlimited.
