I'm assuming you mean the assertion that MWC difference is more "accurate."

I think we could test it by playing two bots of different strengths against each other repeatedly (i.e., a series of 11-point matches). I'd predict that the stronger bot's winning percentage would be higher if you scored the matches using MWC difference than if you scored the matches using luck-adjusted results.
