For White's opening play 24/18 8/5, your Nactation of W (Wild) is great (slotting the 5pt or 4pt gets the capital). Another fine choice is C (Cross).

For money, I like David's reply of H (Hit, 6/1*). Hitting on the 1pt here does indeed compare to 62S-54X, 64S-54X, 62S-52X and 64S-52X, for the value of disconnecting White's back checkers and decreasing the chance she'll make an offensive point. It's less worthwhile with a roll of 32 in that Blue cannot split with the other half of the roll, but in compensation it is more worthwhile in that his repeat chance to hit White's offensive blot (now on her 5pt) is more valuable.
At dmp (your listed score), Blue's decision seems less clear. I guess I prefer playing purely with $ (Slot, 13/10 6/4), triplicating 3s. He does not get paid double for the extra gammons procured by H.
U (Up, 24/22 24/21) is another play I'd seriously consider; it can be worthwhile against a stripped 8pt.
