I would make the 3pt here. Behind in the race, I think we want to stay back and build our board. Our blot isn't in that much danger of getting attacked because White has a blot on her 1pt. The main alternative seems to be 18/9, but that doesn't seem to gain very much; the checkers on the 9pt are already builders, and we relinquish what little outfield control we have.
