How many money games you play?

I know astoundingly little about match equity and am not convinced anything more than a common sensical understanding is necessary to play well, win trophies, make money, get ABT points. I've lucked my way into 3 shiny trophies this year alone not giving one shit what my match equity is @ -5 -7 etc...
This strikes me as a rationalization. Think how much better you might be if you did learn the match decision stuff. Of course one could call your three trophies luck (I'm sure there are some players who won three trophies in a year based solely upon luck) but in your case, your strong checkerplay combined with good (money situation) cubeplay is the more logical reason. Still, it's like being a pro golfer who says "I'm a bad putter but is it really that important. I've done well in tournaments...." There have been very good (and successful) golfers who were poor putters. There haven't been many great golfers who had significant weaknesses in any parts of their games.
