Modern backgammon especially isn't like a sport, it's a game. If I take off two years when I come back will I be a little rusty? Sure ... for a hot minute. There still would be no huge swing in my PR I believe. To maintain how I play now requires so little work ... it's the desire or fuel to keep improving that I'm looking for.
