Rory... contends with his Swiss format in Chicago, with a holiday weekend schedule, time is not so much an issue.

(Note that Rory's tournaments are clocks-on-request of either player. Is it possible that those of us who require clocks have saved a few delay headaches?)

Then I can recommend a few books for his leisure reading list: Fooled by Randomness; Outliers; The Black Swan

Directors who claim their (non-clocked) tournaments have never been impacted by slow play are either treading on thin dice or are delusional.
