Congrats on the success of your club, but one tournament hardly proves you are the toughest club. New York, SF, LA and Chicago can all make legitimate claims, and it depends on how you measure "best."

Every week in Chicago I have to play virtually ALL Open level players, and our special monthly and annual tournaments attract some of the best players in the world including Neil, Sly, and O'Hagan. We have over 20 Open players, many who have cashed or won ABT events and events all over the world, week after week, and we often see guests like Mocky, Kenji, and other giants from around the world when they are passing through.

But again, week after week, I have to face truly fine players virtually every round. In no particular order, in addition to Neil, Sly and John, names you will recognize from the ABT Open division:

David Rockwell, Carter, Bartholomay, Lucky, Bill Davis, Herb Roman, Rory, Larry Goldstein, Bob Steen, Steve Klesker, Nora Luna, Linda Rockwell, Greg Defotus (you may not be old enough to know how very tough he is), Jerry Brooks, Mike Ginat, Serge Bonder, Taki, Casty, Ken Bond, David Rubin, Wendy Kaplan, Paul Klein, Peter Kalba, and of course, ME! (Sorry if I missed someone.) In addition, we have another 20 or 30 very decent Intermediate players who probably play from 7 to 11 PR which is good enough to beat anyone with a little luck, and they often cash. And you can count on about 40 players EVERY WEEK and more at the Monthly Special (double points).

Thanks to Bill Davis establishing a venue and a point and reward system that encourages us to try to make every weekly and monthly special, I think a very strong case can be made for The Bar Point Club being the best club in the world.

That's not to take anything away from your current success, but let's not go too far. One can clearly say that it establishes your club as one of the "better" clubs.
