Neil, Sly and John do not come that often, and usually only to the major events, but their lack of points only proves what I'm saying about how tough a club it is! And don't forget we are often visited by Open players passing through and over the years we had regulars like MCG, Howard Markowitz, Mary Franks and her boyfriend, Jake, Dean Meunch, Howard Ring, David Wells and others.

But I get your point...if you look at the very best, regular players, my vote is for the LA club with the likes of Joe Russell, Sax, Nunez, Gibson, Wachtel, and others. If you look at the average PR of your opponents and what it takes to win the tournament and win the club championship, I'll put the Bar Point Club against any.

As for the club tournament, last year our Chicago boys won but they did not repeat this year as Bill Davis felt the criteria for picking the team should not be by picking the best players, but by picking in order of standing. Does anyone doubt we would have a better chance with Neil leading the team and maybe Sly on as well?

Bottom line is that we don't need to be competitive about this at all: the Beltway is a great club with great players and you deserve all the credit for that, even if you don't measure up to our club in many ways.
