In Response To: XG cube analysis -- Methodology question (Rick Janowski)

First: A big thank you...

to the author of the posted paper... It has been very helpful in some independent research I have been doing (which has nothing to do with backgammon specifically).

Second: A question...

I asked this question a while back on the forum, but still do not really understand. In the 'live cube model' in the paper, the live double point = live cash point = live too good point, which makes sense to me because the model is perfectly continuous.

But if you open the XG Cube Information box, say for 5-away 5-away with 20% gammons each, you can see that live double point < live cash point < live too good point. So it seems the 'live cube' market window in XG means something different that the 'live-cube model' in the paper. I can tie out all the dead cube points and the live cube take point in the XG market window, but any help understanding what XG means when it reports it's 'live cube' double point, cash point, and too good point would be great. Thanks again.
