XG cube analysis -- Methodology question

I am skeptical of the claim that the cubeful equity estimates are not sensitive to the estimate of x, even if x is assumed to be a reasonable value like 2/3. This may be the case for positions where all checkers are in the home board, but I see no reason to think this should be true across the board for all different types of contact positions, especially those where the values of x would be different for each player.
The good news is that this idea seems trivial to test from the programmer side. For a given position, the goal is to measure the sensitivity to the parameters x1 and x2. Say you pick 1/2, 2/3, and 3/4 for both x1 and x2; then you will have 9 different estimates of cubeful equities for that position. If there is little to no variation in the cubeful equity estimates than I would be convinced…but I suspect that at least for certain class of positions you may see big deviations.
