Pos 1 Hard to say. All I could see was 8/4 6/4 3/1. Anything else seemed too loose. After reading about 8/2 3/1 though I am not sure. Everything else looks loose. The race is very close and blue has both front and backward winning chances as in every 3-4 backgame. But from 4/2 and 6/4 It is difficult for me to understand which one damages less blue's frontward position.
Pos 2 make the 23. Blue has the timing for a deeper 2-3 backgame. He could leave the 21 point without any real regrets after making the 21. There are even some chances that he will roll the ace before the 6 and escape with the checker on the 22. But more importantly, white can play less behind blue's anchors and this should lead to better hitting chances.
Pos 3 24/22(2) 4/2 3/1 instead of having a crunched board and better points in the opp's board, it is better to have a not crunched board and less chances to hit a shot. In the first case your chances to win after hitting a shot would be more severely compromised.
