Many years ago, when I was a high school music teacher, I could honk or squeak a scale out of most anything. My true instrument was the trumpet, my main interest being contemporary big band. I haven't done much musically in years other than pen a few lyrics for a song-writing buddy of mine. Coincidentally, my wife asked my today if I'd like to go check out a choir she might like us to join. It's been decades since I've had the nerve to sing in public. Might be just the challenge I need.
