It is Good some people have opinion and don't go after what they ve been told. For me is sick to restrict someone's matches-i understand of course if the match was annotated, than ok make it only for members, but For bucnh of moves to charge money???I don't see the game grow this way, if u want to kick out the fewer people left in Backgammon maybe this the way, but for sure this will not attract new members to BG. Usually at tournaments while i'm free i will never refuse to record someone's match and i will give it to everyone who desire, this way i believe i help the game
ABout the thing about people who does not want to be recorded cause they may play 6 but usually they play 4.5- I think we just have to change our mentality and thinking-First one match mean nothing, i don't understand why people get so attached to any single results- one match i can play 8 and the other one i can play at 2, this does not mean at all i avg2 or 8, right? People should start living with this as in other games and stop hiding, behind hiding i mean- mostly we see matches posted were Giants play WC all the time-yes they are good players but they play bad as well, just 99% of the time the general public does not see those matches posted which i also think is bad for the game, cause beginers got the wrong impression that Stars play everytime 1-3 PR and "ah God i will never catch them".
Now i'm sure a lot of people will attack me that what i'm talking about is not true, but a lot of people are first "blind"- for me is ridicilous to hear from every second player "i avg 3" when actually is obvious they don't even 6. Second i did my own test on Giants in live events all the time when i'm free i try to record matches-yes they do play 3-4 matches out of 5 on 2-4 PR but one match they can play even above 10, of course u will not see this match posted, but i have many of them recorded:)
So we better really think how to help our game grow, not how to get more money,cause if we think about making money or members maybe soon we will be left without players.
