Once again: a message from John to you

We always hesitate to give to non-members services that members pay for through their membership dues and contributions.

Then get transcriptions with pro commentary for your members, and leave 'naked' transcriptions available to all players (if the transcriber allows that, not you)

Transcribing the videos into XG and then posting them on or site are tasks that take considerable time.

Transcribing takes your time? Or Bill's time? Why can you decide what to do with that files and not Bill (or some other transcriber who is doing that for free in his own time)?

Maintaining a library of these matches is also a service we provide. The funds to support all this comes from members and it is not insignificant

You mean this: http://usbgf.org/usbgf-events/stream-archive/ ? If that's so financially expensive and time consuming for USBGF, I'll keep that kind of list on my website, on my server space and I'll do it in my free time. For free. Available to all players all over the world. For free.
I'll give you time until Friday to rethink about this, and if you keep the same idea until then - I'll spend my time this weekend to create publicly available list of transcribed backgammon videos.
