Baffle Box Update

I do not own one but I am not necessarily against them. I think I'm the epitome of proper rolling technique. If two sets of dice are in play I never shake while it is my opponent's turn, I rarely cock dice because I know how to toss them to free tumble without winging them like a looney, I don't even flinch until my opponent's dice are clearly up off the board or he has hit his clock, and I shake an appropriate amount before rolling. If everyone conducted himself as I feel I do when playing I would see little to no need for baffle boxes.
However, that's not how it is. There are fast rollers, people who shake waiting for you to make a move, people who think they're shooting at a craps table instead of playing backgammon, and those that seem somehow to cock dice on or off the table more than a fair share of the time. There may even be people who you feel more comfortable with using a baffle box. While I don't believe there are many (any?) dice mechanics in the regular ABT tourneys I could be wrong. If it helps a player sleep better at night to use them so be it. I will still politely decline when someone asks me to use one but I can see the appeal. I prefer a baffle box well before the Meyer Dice Tube.
Not sure if any of that is useful feedback but there you have it.
