Here is a "people friendly" reference:

(cut and paste of link failed. If you go to ChicagoPoint site and click on "Mark your calendar..." and then click on the Ohio State Championship ABT event in late March you'll find it.)

Maybe Mary or others have more info than just this online flier. Literally the idea of "people friendly" is fine, AFAIC. But if the connotation is that clocks only by mutual agreement makes the tournament people-friendly, that's different. For now I don't see enough evidence to draw the connection.
