Well, they are not - as in not truly random, they are pseudorandom - generated by an algorithm.

What they are is close enough to truly random for all practical purposes, and for most conceivable impractical purposes, too. In my opinion this also goes for most dice as well, even if they are not precision dice - if they look OK, they most certainly are.

And it also goes for basically any dice throw that is not intentionally rigged. If it is poorly shaken, and poorly thrown, yielding unequal probabilities for the 6 outcomes - it still does not matter, if the thrower has no way of knowing or controlling which numbers ends up being the more probable.
