Baffle Box Update

Assuming the dice are not loaded or a player is not able to affect rolls by manipulation, the amount that a defective die will change the probabilities of the rolls over a short run has got to be so small as to not worth the effort of worrying about. Dishonesty is my only concern relative to dice, as that is about the only way I believe the dice can hurt me in a predictable manner.
Now, I do worry about cups without lips and lack of shaking and dropping the dice too close to the board and too gingerly for two reasons:
1. I think it MIGHT make the rolls less random, but I have yet to see a study that proves this...it's just a feeling and makes me uneasy when a player does not properly roll, and;
2. It just irks me that my opponent is either ignoring the proper rules and etiquette, or, he is not shaking his dice after rolling doubles or high numbers in hopes of repeating. Even if he cannot affect the rolls by not shaking, it irks me that he is thinking this way (and I know some opponents who consistently shake lightly after doubles but not after a bad roll). If a player tries to take advantage of me in this manner (even if he is not successful doing this) then I have to wonder about what other ways he might take advantage of me if I am not careful to keep an eye on all his fingers and his pencil on the score sheet.
