Baffle Box Update

Why would it be a disadvantage for the strong player to be doubling at what he thinks is the right time in a race, and having the opponent wrongly take because the dice are off in that specific way, that there are too few doubles and thus the odds aren't what they usually are? And as far as his taking too often, I did say his oppo is weaker--and that implies he isn't generally doubling at the right time.
Chances are, the weak player is doubling either too late or too early; if it's late, the good player passes, and he's right by a larger margin than he thought; or if it's early, then the good player likely still has a take, just not by as much as he thought. But his recube is far more powerful than either of them knows, when he throws it out there at what is normally the right time.
Addressing Phil's post: I am talking about only this very specific issue, where doubles occur with significantly lower frequency than normal chance, and neither player knows it. A die being off in some other way, with neither player knowing about it, likely could hurt the better player more than the weak player, for reasons Bob brought up, including shot counting being off.
