Baffle Box Update

These are three new issues: defective dice, defective shaking, and defective scorekeeping. Regarding a defective die, it depends what is wrong with it, of course. If it's just not quite a precision die, but is otherwise fair, I suspect you are right, that the effect is quite minimal. Defective shaking has been addressed here, and while we might disagree on all the particulars, it's like jazz--you know it when you hear it. Most people's shaking probably is adequate to randomize the dice, even if we think they could do better. But I would consider a single sideways wiggle followed by dumping them from a height best measured in millimeters to be inadequate, even if I were provided with proof that the results were random. And regarding scorekeeping, I'm always impressed when players say they don't want to keep a scoresheet and will trust mine, but they really should keep their own anyway, not relying either on me or a flip chart. They are right that I won't intentionally mis-score, but absolutely anyone can make an error. Two scoresheets, checked one against the other and also the flip chart if it's there, are always better than one!
