One of the many themes I can't seem to get right...

not sure there is a theme here. 2 drastically different plays make my cut. 1* 11 and 22 8. the later is a standard building play, while the later is an attacking play putting 2 on the bar. we are at a slight disadvantage in board points and we lead in the race, getting hit is very deleterious to our side, so I'd make the std building play.
